Why I Write

I didn't always plan on following a path into writing, I originally majored in Forensic Science in 2020. Parental and societal pressures could lead us into careers that can be unfulfilling but pay the bills. Many of us ignore our true passions and opt for the “safe” and “reliable” routes. I am that cautionary tale. They could probably make a quote about me. I spent so much time and money going to school for forensics. A job opportunity didn’t go the way I expected, and I realized I wasn’t fulfilled.

I spent 2021 reading multiple books a week to cope with the anxiety of feeling like I failed at what was supposed to be my lifelong career. I decided to finish pursuing my degree in English with a Creative Writing track. I took the plunge and began writing blogs part-time for a Digital Forensics company in June 2022. Since then, I have spent much of my time content writing.
